WHAT IS THE CHARTER PROCEDURE?

Once you choose the boat of your choice and the period desired, please send us your request. We will reply about availability and prices.

Once you agree we will send you the charter agreement and the details for the deposit of 30% of the total. Your reservation is confirmed as soon as we get the signature of the charter agreement and the deposit of 30%.

The booking process without completing the above procedures can not last more than a week.

The remaining 70% must be submitted no later than 8 weeks prior to boarding.

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE RENTAL PRICE OF EACH SAILBOAT?

The cost of renting (charter) yacht depends on its size, the amenities it offers, and the level of luxury provided.

The price does not include the cost of fuel, water, food, beverages/drinks, and any other specific requirement of shippers. Also off the price is the cost for fees of the Isthmus of Corinth (provided the boat crosses him) and port taxes in the various ports. Within the price is VAT.

The charter price only includes the chartering of the vessel and its safety. It requires the payment of a security fee, in case of loss of equipment or damage, which is returned immediately upon delivery of the vessel, as long as it is in original condition. The remuneration of the captain of the vessel (if requested) is not included in the fare.

Auxiliary Dinghy & Outboard engine are free of charge

Rental fees do not include fuel consumption, water consumption, extra benefits, transfer from / to the boat and any port charges that may arise within your service (boarding / disembarking port fees are included). Any additional extras are paid upon boarding the yacht.

Amenities referred to as “extra costs” such as captain / hostess / cook fees and additional equipment such as SUP rental, Kayak, spinnaker / blister, etc. are charged separately.

WHAT IS A SECURITY DEPOSIT?

In the contract you will see that you have to deposit a guarantee that is configured according to the size of the sailboat. This ensures that you are solely responsible for this amount for any loss or damage that may be caused. Each boat is insured for any damage in excess of this amount. At the end of the charter, the security deposit will be returned to you. This amount of the security deposit can be paid in cash or by pledging the amount by credit card (Master Card or Visa) when you arrive at our base on the promenade of Volos.

IS A SECURITY DEPOSIT NECESSARY BEFORE THE CHARTER OF THE SAILBOAT?

Of course! The prices are as follows:

ALKYONE: 3.500€
ANASSA: 2.000€
ANEMOS: 2.500€

Payment of the boat security deposit , as well as the cleaning, will be made before the start of the fare, at the point where each boat is moored. Also, in the facilities we include a captain (skipper) and a cook & hostess with extra cost.

IS A LICENSE REQUIRED FOR A SAILBOAT CHARTER IN GREECE?

No license is required to rent a sailboat, but for the operation – management of a sailboat in Greece it is necessary to have at least one valid sailing diploma from a recognized sport sailing club. The pilot-in-command should have the appropriate sailing skills, and at least one other crew member should have some sailing experience.

In case none of the crew members have a navigation license, there is a possibility to rent the sailboat with a professional captain (150 € – 190 € per day depending on the size of the boat).

SAILING LICENSE REQUIREMENT

In Greece when chartering a bareboat yacht, according to the port authorities’ requests, the client must provide original sailing certificate/license (In English language or officially translated). Certificates for motor yachts, sailing on day-light only, weather limitations are not accepted from the Port Authorities.

Copy of the licence must be presented (sent by email), at the time of the booking.

IS CHARTER WITHOUT A PROFESSIONAL CAPTAIN RECOMMENDED (BAREBOAT)?

Given that the pilot and at least one other crew member have the appropriate qualifications, they are free to charter a boat without a professional captain (bareboat).

If none of the crew members has a captain’s license or has a captain’s license but without relevant experience, a professional skipper is recommended.

Skipper from our company exempts you from the guarantee for the safety of the sailing boat (assumes your responsibility & safety).

In this case the guarantee insurance is reduced to €500, an amount which is refundable.

Skipper prices are set per day – keep in mind that a skipper needs his own cabin, as he is required to sleep on board.

HOW ARE THE PRICES CONFIGURATED WITH SKIPPER AND HOSTESS SERVICES?

The prices are as follows:

  • For the sailboat ANEMOS:
Skipper 170€ per day and food.

The safety includes full insurance coverage of vessels and crew against any accident due to the negligence of the owner or crew or a defect in the vessel.

Charterers must arrange their own insurance coverage for diseases or accidents resulting from their own negligence or occurred by chance.

The Company can not be held responsible for any loss, which can exist, if the safety is not able to reimburse you as a result of any inaccurate information you provided.

ARE SAILBOATS ACCESSIBLE BY PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES?
